- battery life is dismal, maybe getting just under 2 hours. I was hoping for more and I´m sure the 6-cell battery provides a great deal longer run time, but the 3-cell battery this came with is nothing good for extended use
- the fan comes on every so often and has a way of making a loud noise. Restarting resets it and it´s good for a while longer, but it´s annoying sometimes.
- the power lacking VIA-7 processor can´t play videos, even ones that have been downloaded locally to the hard drive. It´s just not good for that. Good thing I mostly use this for writing, but as a short video creator, it would have been nice to at least have them on the netbook to play.
- the glossy screen smudges easily, but that´s not as big an issue as the glare. Sitting with this unit and having a light or window behind you, it´s a nicer mirror than it is an LCD screen.
I am considering selling this and upgrading to a model with an Intel ATOM N270 processor, which improves battery life as well as making it capable for doing things like video and audio. The HP 2140 keeps the expanded ports and aluminum case, as well as increases the screen size and processor capabilities.. And summed up by saying HP 2133 Netbook nice but a bit on the slow side.
