1) Electronics CE HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer by Hewlett Packard. Performance of this printer has been excellent. I am using it on my wireless network at home without a problem. I am using a D-Link DIR-655 Extreme N Wireless Router and connecting both a PC & iMac. Both computers were easily installed and have been working well for both printing and scanning. Download the latest software from the HP sight. Use the minimum install configuration.

Two-sided printing has not been problematic. The printer does drink color ink very quickly especially if you are doing color printing, so I recommend buying the extra large print cartridges, HP 75XL Tri-color Inkjet Print Cartridge & HP 74XL Black Inkjet Print Cartridge.

2) Electronics CE HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer by Hewlett Packard. Read many of the previous reviews, had some of the same problems. I have a Windows XP desktop and 2 Vista laptops. Installed the desktop first, using the disc. Set this printer as my default & everything seemed to work fine. Moved on to the my first laptop--did not use the disc, went online for the drivers and my laptop worked fine, nice quality prints. Went on to the second laptop & repeated the process, very slow but worked fine. After that, my desktop started printing half sheets, top line only, garbled prints, you name it. Same problems as others have had. Deleted all from my desktop, laptops still work flawlessly. Reloaded software to my desktop, seemed to work. About a half hour later, my desktop says "printer disconnected´. The printer cannot "see´ the computer in order to scan, but I can still copy from all 3 machines. At this point, by the clock, I´ve spent about 12 hours over 3 days working on this crappy software. Another day & I´ll maybe I´ll send it back. Strangely, my Vista units work fine--it´s the desktop with windows XP giving me the trouble. BAD software--only consider this printer if you´re very patient.¤

3) Electronics CE HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer by Hewlett Packard. I purchase this product for my home office where I do quite a bit of business that involves all three functions of this all-in-one. There are some great pros, but DO NOT neglect the cons as they are enough to make me reconsider a new printer all together.

PROS

-"Set it and forget it copy, scan and fax functions" Meaning that unlike other all-in-ones, this product allows you to leave the items you want to copy, scan or fax in the feeder and it will take care of the rest. I realize that this feature is standard with most copy and fax machines, but it´s not always available for the scanning function on other machines, and if you need to do multiple page scans it will really make your life easier.

-Wireless reduces clutter

CONS!

-THIS MACHINE PERFORMS ALL FUNCTIONS IN AN EXTREMELY SLOW MANNER, EVEN IF YOU HAVE QUALITY SET TO LOW RESOLUTIONS. Even vital, simple functions, such as copying go slowly on this device as opposed to many all-in-ones that are considered inferior to this machine. I cannot stress enough how bad this part of the machine is, so if you are looking for speed and efficiency, you might want to look elsewhere.¤

4) Electronics CE HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer by Hewlett Packard. Having been frustrated with network printing in the past, I bought this printer for my office based (mainly) off of the good reviews regarding integration. We have a network comprised of both Windows and OSX machines. Both work great with this device. When network scanning, the device actually asks you which computer you want scan to (which I thought was pretty cool).

I was so happy with it that I bought a second for my home (also an OSX / Windows network). I was happy to see that the software had no issues with the software confusing the two machines given they are identical. (The software is surprisingly good for OEM software, btw).

I highly recommend this device. As a side-bonus, it looks cool too ;)¤

5) Electronics CE HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer by Hewlett Packard. I just set this up and can´t begin to tell you all how pleased I am with this wonderful product. It really does live up to it´s billing. And everythhing it does is so intuitive. The control panel is a joy to use and all of it´s many features function flawlessly. The automatic document feeder is fabulous and it never gets jammed or feeds more than one piece of paper at a time. I had occassion to give the duplexer (prints on both sides of one piece of paper) a real "trial by fire." The unit does not come with a manual (that sucks). It´s on the provided CD. I like a paper copy of an operating manual so I printed out all 212 pages duplexed in "fast draft" quality. I was expecting the print quality to be so-so at best for this setting but was amazed at how good it looked as it printed. And the duplexer worked flawlessly, printing out all 212 pages on "only" 106 pages of paper.
Now for a couple of nitpick negatives. The unit is not the quietest in operation so don´t expect to be using it at 2:00AM with your spouse trying to sleep. Not at least unless you enjoy getting yelled at. And the supplied software is a little buggy. We had to uninstall and reinstall it twice before getting it to work properly and we´re just running Windows XP with a USB connection (no wireless). That´s about all I can think of to criticize so far.
The unit is very attractive and a lot smaller and less obtrusive that the highly rated Canon 850. And the illumination for the LCD panel is a very attractive pure white rather than that drab ´sort-of-green´ that you sometimes see on LCD´s. And the price was fabulous. I paid $149.95 with no delivery (sorry Amazon, I love you, but this time you weren´t the cheapest). Five years ago something like this would have cost north of $500.
Amazing, just amazing.¤

6) Electronics CE HP Officejet J6480 All-in-One Printer by Hewlett Packard. Boost productivity with a wireless all-in-one printer with speeds up to 31 ppm black; 25 ppm color. Feature-rich all-in-one keeps cost per print low and includes automatic two-sided printing and auto document feeder.¤
