It has usability problems which one would never find in a classic HP calculator like the HP-32SII. For example, the subordinated STO, the display glare, the use of numeric keys instead of the top row in menus and the decision to put algebraic and RPN modes in the same calculator, thus wasting keys and forcing an inefficient layout on people who just want RPN.
What I´d like is for HP to re-release the 32SII. Maybe give it keys with the nice color scheme that the 33S has, and give it a case that´s put together with screws and without melting plastic (so that the calculator can be serviced after 10 years of intense use). Keep the keyboard layout, keep the big Enter and don´t add algebraic mode. I´ve had many HP calculators over the years, but so far the 32SII is my favorite. It´s painful to see HP come up with new models which are visually attractive, but functionally deficient.. And summed up by saying Best mid-range calculator in production, but not good enough for an HP. Currently HP 35s Scientific Calculator has an overall rating of 8 over 10.
