And yes, some of the color is out of balance. But if you can sit through this double disc without vibrating in your heart, your breath coming only when you remember to exhale...you are missing the point. This is an extraordinary privilege to see at such close range, the fingering of true masters of their instruments. I am sure there is better sound quality on later discs. I am sure individual performances may rise above this level. But you know what? I don´t care. This double disc is a privilege to own.
