I generally don´t purchase product insurance but decided to get this since I wanted more "hand holding" since I was a recent convert from Windows to an iMac. Registering the product was easy - I even messed up and didn´t remember that the serial number to use is on the reciept...kept looking for it on the box. Even when I entered a wrong number, the next day when I figured out my error, Applecare had gone ahead and registered my plan! How it that for having someone there that has some intelligence! So, if you want some piece of mind...buy the plan. If you´re a risk taker and just trust that your iMac will be fine...skip it.¤

• Onsite service for desktop computers is available within a 50-mile (80-kilometer) radius of an Apple authorized onsite service provider in the country where the plan is purchased and enrolled.
