October Sky (Special Edition) by Fred Murphy

On 2010-03-20 Patricia Sievert, Byron, IL USA wrote: I own both a VHS and DVD copy of this movie. Adding the DVD to my collection was worth it for the extra features. This movie is wonderful for family viewing and for use in school. I like to show it at science camp for movie night. The campers might groan when they see it is an ´old fashioned´ movie, but it only takes a few minutes before they are totally hooked. It is inspirational and entertaining while still accurately representing the scientific process and determination shown by these young men. I´ve seen cynical teenagers enthralled by this movie. I cannot think of a better movie to share with students.. And summed up by saying Love this movie. Currently October Sky (Special Edition) has an overall rating of 10 over 10.
