This pro model is apparently a more powerful version of the original, but the extra features aren´t necessary for the exam. I just liked the sleek look and feel of it better. Whether that justifies the extra $15 or so is obviously a personal decision. Better prices can be had elsewhere, especially for used ones, but the price here is decent enough. As for usability/functionality, it takes some time to get used to, but it´s great once you do. (By the way, I´m using the ASM study guide which provides excellent tutorials on BA II´s essential functions for solving problems.)
