Drawn from the archives of Austrian Radio, these recordings were restored and digitally mastered by Ton Eichinger Studio in Vienna. The 112-page, three-language companion book contains rare, beautifully restored images of the composer and photos of the conductors in action, as well as an introduction by Pulitzer Prize-winner Tim Page, a scene-setting note by producer Gottfried Kraus, an essay by renowned critic (and Karajan biographer) Richard Osborne and detailed artist biographies from ´The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians.´
