Hamilton Beach

The Hamilton Beach Manufacturing Company was founded a young farm boy named Chester Beach and a cashier named L.H. Hamilton for the sole purpose of developing more 'universal' motor-driven appliances could run on AC or DC power. The first Hamilton Beach product, an electric hand-held massager, was produced in 1910 and later the classic cyclone Drink Mixer was introduced, and the Hamilton Beach line began to grow. The new motor was used to power sewing machines, thereby ending the era of the treadle sewing machine. These new motors powered ingenious attachments, one of which mixed cake batter and was the forerunner of today´s popular Hamilton Beach stand mixer.

In the 1920´s Hamilton Beach Manufacturing Company was manufacturing home appliances such as blenders, electric knives, hand mixers, and food processors – categories in which Hamilton Beach continues to be the brand consumers prefer. Hamilton Beach Manufacturing Company evolved into Hamilton Beach, Inc.

Today, Hamilton Beach (Proctor-Silex, Inc.) is the number one distributor of small kitchen appliances, selling over 35 million appliances every year. The company’s most famous brands (Hamilton Beach, Eclectrics, Proctor Silex, and TrueAir) are found in households across America, Canada, and Mexico, yet are expanding into areas beyond these traditional borders.
